Law Enforcement Liaison

The Law Enforcement Liaison section provides legal advice and support to law enforcement across North Carolina.

 

Our section’s lawyers provide a yearly legislative summary of changes to criminal law to officers and deputies in making arrests and other law enforcement work.

 

We track North Carolina gun laws, and provide information about which states have similar concealed carry permit regulations to our state’s laws.  Concealed Handgun Chart - Prohibited Carry Areas

 

We also honor North Carolina law enforcement professionals who die in the line of duty with the Peace Officers Memorial Day each year.
