(RALEIGH) In response to the news that a federal court today upheld a ruling to block the Trump administration from ending the DACA program, Attorney General Josh Stein released the following statement:
“I am so pleased that the federal appeals court made the right decision today. Ending DACA would be cruel to Dreamers, against our American values, and harmful to our economy. It also would violate federal law and the Constitution. That is why I argued against it in Court – because we must stand up for the tens of thousands of young people who are important members of our North Carolina communities and rely on DACA.”
