Tactical Training Certificate Program
The Program
This program is designed to recognize the achievements of those officers involved in the specialized and tactical arenas. This program provides the individual officer the opportunity to develop a solid foundation of tactical training and expertise. Officers who complete this program will acquire the skills and principles necessary for promoting their personal safety and professional development, enabling them to become more proficient as tactical/patrol officers.
Applicant Requirements
- Must be a current sworn law enforcement officer with Basic Law Enforcement Certificate issued by the NC Sheriffs’ Education and Training Standards Commission or the NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
- Must have a minimum of two years of full-time law enforcement experience.
Program Requirements
- Must complete 400 total hours within ten (10) years of program acceptance with no more than 120 hours accepted for non-NCJA courses and/or other nationally accepted vendor courses.
The acceptance of all course hours is at the discretion of the program coordinator.
