The Town of Cleveland, pop. 882, is seeking an individual to fill the position of Police Chief.   The individual selected will perform complex administrative work in directing the law enforcement activities of the Town. The individual will have regular patrol duties and supervision of 3 full-time and a number of part-time officers. Possession of an NC Driver’s License, certified as a law enforcement officer in NC, and Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate required.

Candidates should have extensive experience in supervision and management in the law enforcement profession and have an Associate’s Degree in criminal justice, management, or related field. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
