The Town of St. Pauls (Pop. 2487) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Chief. The current Chief is retiring after 45 years service to the Town. St. Pauls is  located approximately 18 miles south of Fayetteville in Robeson County. The Department consists of 13 sworn officers and 7 non-sworn staff. The Department operates dispatch and is responsible for animal control. The annual operating budget is $1,145,000.

Qualifications: A minimum 10 years experience of a responsible nature in police operations, specifically, demonstrated experience conducting police investigations and supervising police personnel. Experience developing and administering a departmental budget is preferred.

Education: Minimum Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred. Completion of advanced courses and seminars in various aspects of police work. Possession of an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate is required.
