NC DOJ Multidisciplinary Team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of its efforts under the SAKI grant, NC DOJ formed a multidisciplinary team (SAKI Working Group) that included law enforcement, prosecutors, community-based victim advocates, sexual assault nurse examiners (SANE), Crime Laboratory personnel, researchers, campus representatives, and NC DOJ staff. The Working Group convened regularly to address issues related to testing older kits, to make recommendations based on assessment of current and accepted best practices across the country, and to support the efforts of local jurisdictions in those efforts.
