The North Carolina Attorney General’s Office is teaming up with other agencies and organizations to help consumers avoid scams this holiday season. For the next few weeks we’ll be sharing advice and suggestions from folks who are in the know.We start with some tips of our own, gathered and presented on a special webpage.Our partners in this project include the North Carolina Secretary of State’s Office, the state Department of Insurance, the Division of Aging and Adult Services in the NC Department of Health and Human Services, along with groups like AARP North Carolina, the Better Business Bureaus of Charlotte and Winston-Salem, and the US Postal Inspection Service.The holidays can be a time of joy.
