(RALEIGH) Attorney General Josh Stein today released the following statement in response to the Department of Environmental Quality’s revised consent order with Chemours.
“People have to be able to trust the water they drink and the air they breathe. That’s why this order is so important – it makes Chemours clean up its pollution and ensures that it pays the bill to address it. I thank the hundreds of people who filed comments about the original order. I am pleased that my attorneys, along with DEQ, were able to take those insights into account to make this revised order even stronger.”
